From the archives of Doug Osterloh....
Doug sent these pics from the 70's era of UTA baseball. This first one is of the 1974 team:
it's a little fuzzy, but it'll do. To use Doug's words for this next one. "Next is that famous road trip to Arkansas State with the Ark State Troopers having a talk with Butch. Starting pitcher Mike Wyant tried to throw a bottle at one of the other cars and missed. The errant bottle did bounce off the trooper's hood. We had our starting rotation (Johnny Woo and Mike) up there helping Butch get the story straight."
Doug continues, "Another shot of the onion field at Arkansas. The picture isn't great but the memories were! I believe that is Mystery Man Palazinni and Dennis Padgent."
"Last but not least is the late great Bruce Marshall."

Butch and Moe playing Pan Am back in the '70s.....
Notice that the UTA catcher has the plate blocked off which will
force the runner's leg to the outside away from the plate.
The umpire is now making a grave mistake.
The umpire is now running for his life. Notice John Mocek starting from the dugout.
This is not a happy man.
A classic from the archives...
I love this picture. Although you can't tell, Mocek is actually levitating about one foot above the ground. You can also make out the sinewy forearms... the kind that harbor a strength leaving Popeye green with envy. Hey, I saw the guy do about 100 consecutive rollups with that stick-dangling-weight-on-a-rope thing. Impressive. By the way, this is the photo taken after Clay Gould hit a homerun that was about, oh, 20 feet inside the foul line. But our old friend He's-a-clown-that-Tommy-Brown called it foul. Get him, Moe.
UPDATE: Here are some more photos I had Moe dig out of his desk by request. After I posted the photo above, several guys commented to me that they wanted to see one with Moe slapping the plate in full psycho mode. Your wish is my command.....
